Abstract
We experienced a 27 year0old male patient with the Marcus Gunn jaw-winking phenomenon associated with paralysis of the superior rectus muscle and treated him with the levtor resection and unilateral frontalis suspension following by the Crawford procedure. The Marcus Gunn jaw-winking phenomenon is and unilateral paradoxical ptosis in which the drooping upper eyelid was rapidly retracted whenever the mouth is opened or the jaw is moved to the unaffected side. The exact cause is uncertain, but it is thought that the levator palpebrae superioris was innervated aberrantly from the motor branch of the trigeminal nerve. We will discuss the details of operative procedure and discuss the operative result.
